The short version
Fifteen celluloid picks in three thicknesses - 0.50, 0.75 and 1.00 mm - with a small clear box to keep them in. Functionally this is the same proposition as any sampler pack: you cannot know which gauge suits you until you have played all three, and picks are cheap enough that buying a spread is obviously right. The box is the actual differentiator, and it is less trivial than it sounds, because the reason people play with the wrong pick is usually that they cannot find the right one.

What it gets right
- Fifteen picks across three thicknesses, so the comparison is easy
- The organiser box is genuinely useful for something that gets lost constantly
- Very cheap, and fine as a first set of picks
- Assorted designs make it easy to tell the gauges apart at a glance
Where it gives ground
- No manufacturer specification to check the claims against
- Smooth celluloid, so the same grip problem as any untextured pick
- Tips round off with use, as all celluloid does
Who it is for
What owners report
Patterns drawn from published owner reviews. Summarised, never quoted.
What comes up most
- The box and the quantity for the price are what buyers mention most
- Commonly bought for a child or a beginner, and reported as fine for that
Frequent complaints
- Some owners report the actual thickness varying from the label
- Printing wearing off is mentioned regularly
Recognised strengths
- Does the one job a variety pack needs to do
Recognised weaknesses
- An unverifiable brand, so this catalogue records only what can be seen
The verdict
Perfectly good, and the extra three picks and the box make it marginally better value than a plain bag. Set expectations about the brand: ROTOPATA is an Amazon-native name with no manufacturer site, so the thicknesses quoted here come from the listing and the material claim cannot be checked against a spec sheet. In practice the picks are ordinary celluloid and behave like it - warm attack, moderate grip, tips that round off over a few months. For a first purchase that is entirely sufficient.
We do not publish prices, because Amazon prices change constantly and a stale figure helps nobody. Follow the link for the current price and availability.
