Pricing

Deals

We would rather show you nothing than show you a discount we cannot verify. Here is exactly how pricing works on this site.

Amazon prices move constantly, and they differ by country, by seller and by the hour. A price captured last week and displayed as though it were current is worse than no price at all — it sends you to a listing expecting one figure and shows you another.

So we do not publish live prices, previous prices or discount percentages, and we never will unless we can read them from a source that is actually authoritative and current. Every instrument links straight to its Amazon listing, where the real price and availability are shown.

What we do publish is a price band for each instrument, so the filters and the buying guides stay useful. Bands are broad on purpose and are reviewed when we revisit a product.

What this page will do next

The data model already carries a price field with the date it was captured, so the moment we connect an authoritative price source this page can show a current price, a previous price, a discount percentage and a price history without a single change to any other part of the site. Until then it stays honest and empty.

As an Amazon Associate we may earn a commission from qualifying purchases made through our links, at no additional cost to you.
