The short version
All-solid means what it says: the top, the back and the sides are each real wood rather than laminate, which is the single largest step up an acoustic can take and normally the point where prices double. An all-mahogany build has a particular voice — drier and more mid-focused than spruce, with less sparkle on top and a woody, compressed attack that suits fingerstyle and recording especially well. Cort pairs it with a genuine bone nut and saddle, which matters more than most spec-sheet items because it is the last hard contact the strings make before the top. The open-pore finish is deliberately thin so the wood can move.

The good and the bad
What we like
- Genuinely all-solid construction — top, back and sides
- Real bone nut and saddle rather than plastic
- Warm, dry, mid-focused mahogany voice that records beautifully
- Thin open-pore finish lets the top move rather than sealing it
What we do not
- All-mahogany is less bright and less cutting than a spruce top for heavy strumming
- Cort and the Amazon listing disagree on which Fishman preamp is fitted
- No published owner reviews on this listing yet

Recognised strengths

Recognised weaknesses
- Without owner feedback there is no way to judge unit-to-unit consistency
The verdict
For a player moving past their first solid-top guitar, this is an unusually complete instrument for the money: all-solid construction, bone hardware and a Fishman preamp are each things you normally buy separately or pay considerably more for. The all-mahogany voice is the thing to think about before buying — it is warm and even rather than bright and ringing, so if you want a bold strumming dreadnought that cuts, a spruce top will suit you better. One caveat on the electronics: Cort currently publishes a Fishman Presys VT for this model while the Amazon listing describes a Sonitone system, so confirm which preamp your example ships with.
