The short version
This is the classic HSS Stratocaster arrangement — two single-coils, a humbucker at the bridge, five-way switch — built with the parts people normally buy afterwards. A bone nut instead of plastic. Staggered locking tuners, which both hold tuning and remove the need for string trees. A compound 12-to-15.75-inch radius rather than the vintage 7.25 or the flat 9.5, so chords near the nut stay comfortable while bends up high do not choke out. The Ergo-V neck is quoted at 21 mm deep at the first fret and 23 mm at the twelfth, which is a slim modern profile, and the alder body with a flamed maple top keeps the traditional Strat voicing intact underneath.

The good and the bad
What we like
- Bone nut and staggered locking tuners fitted as standard, not as upgrades
- Compound 12-to-15.75-inch radius is more comfortable than a fixed vintage radius
- HSS layout with a five-way switch covers single-coil chime and humbucker weight
- Slim Ergo-V profile with published dimensions rather than a vague description
What we do not
- House-brand pickups lack the last degree of character of Fender's own single-coils
- Limited brand recognition affects resale value
- Few published owner reviews so far, so consistency is not well established

What owners and reviewers report
Patterns we found across published reviews and owner feedback. These are summaries of recurring themes — we do not reproduce or invent individual testimonials.
What comes up most
- Too few published owner reviews on this listing to establish a reliable pattern
Frequent complaints
- Too few published owner reviews on this listing to establish a reliable pattern
Recognised strengths
- Hardware specification, particularly the bone nut and locking tuners, is above the price bracket
Recognised weaknesses
- Owner feedback volume is currently too low to judge unit-to-unit consistency
The verdict
For a player who wants Stratocaster sounds without the Fender price or the Squier compromises, this sits in an unusually sensible middle. The hardware and nut are genuinely better than most guitars at this money, the compound radius is a real playability gain, and HSS covers more ground than a straight three-single-coil layout. What you give up is the badge on the headstock and, to some ears, the last few percent of single-coil character that Fender's own pickups have. Amazon owner reviews are still few, so treat the consensus as provisional rather than established.

Strings for this guitar
All stringsIt ships with D'Addario EXL120 (.009-.042). Staying at that gauge keeps the setup and the neck relief as the factory left them; going a step lighter makes bending easier, a step heavier gives more volume and tension. Anything more than one step either way usually needs the truss rod and the intonation adjusted.
