The short version
The Roselyn is the top of Cort's range and the components say so. The L.R. Baggs Anthem is the electronics system serious touring acoustic players actually choose — an undersaddle sensor blended with a purpose-built internal microphone that sits close enough to the top to capture body resonance without feeding back. Gotoh SGL510 tuners in gold are the same machines fitted to guitars costing several times this. The side sound port is the detail worth understanding: a second opening in the upper bout that fires at the player rather than the audience, so what you hear while playing is much closer to what a listener in front of you hears. Master-grade European spruce over solid pau ferro, hand-scalloped bracing, a five-piece neck and hand-rolled edges on body, fingerboard and frets complete it.

The good and the bad
What we like
- L.R. Baggs Anthem is a genuinely professional pickup and microphone system
- Gotoh SGL510-L5 gold tuners and hand-rolled edges on body, fingerboard and frets
- Side sound port lets the player hear what the audience hears
- 44.5 mm nut and five-piece neck built around long fingerstyle sessions
What we do not
- Cort's current page describes the Roselyn Redux, and the listing mentions an off-set sound hole the current spec does not — confirm the version
- Resale value will not hold like a comparable Martin or Taylor
- Almost no published owner feedback at this price point

What owners and reviewers report
Patterns we found across published reviews and owner feedback. These are summaries of recurring themes — we do not reproduce or invent individual testimonials.
What comes up most
- Too few published owner reviews to establish a reliable pattern
Frequent complaints
- Too few published owner reviews to establish a reliable pattern
Recognised strengths
- Component choices — Anthem electronics, Gotoh tuners, master-grade top — are consistently professional grade
Recognised weaknesses
- Owner feedback volume is too low to judge unit-to-unit consistency at this price
The verdict
Judged on components alone this is a professional instrument, and the wide 44.5 mm nut plus the rolled fingerboard edges make it clear who it is for: fingerstyle players who spend hours with the guitar and notice how the edges of a fretboard feel. The Anthem system is the strongest argument — it is the difference between an acoustic that sounds plugged in and one that sounds amplified. What holds the score back on value rather than quality is the brand: this competes with instruments carrying names that hold resale far better. One caution worth stating plainly: Cort's current product page describes the Roselyn Redux, and the Amazon listing also mentions an off-set sound hole that the current specification does not list, so confirm which version your example is before buying.

Strings for this guitar
All stringsIt ships with Elixir Phosphor Bronze Nanoweb Light (.012-.053). Staying at that gauge keeps the setup and the neck relief as the factory left them; going a step lighter makes bending easier, a step heavier gives more volume and tension. Anything more than one step either way usually needs the truss rod and the intonation adjusted.
