The short version
The guitar is identical to the Transparent Black version: a poplar body under a quilted veneer, two ceramic humbuckers, a three-way toggle and a standard fulcrum tremolo, built around a bolt-on maple speed neck with graphite reinforcement and a scarf joint. The flat 12-inch amaranth fingerboard and 22 jumbo frets are the geometry heavy playing wants, and they are the reason this earns a recommendation over generic beginner guitars. What differs is the bundle. This Transparent Red listing includes a gig bag, clip-on tuner, strap, cable and picks — but no amplifier, where the Transparent Black listing bundles a Fender Frontman 10G.

The good and the bad
What we like
- Graphite-reinforced maple speed neck with a flat 12-inch board, the right geometry to learn on
- 22 jumbo frets on a Jackson Dinky body at the lowest price the brand offers
- Two high-output humbuckers deliver useful gain straight away
- Sensible choice if you already own an amplifier, since you are not paying for a second one
What we do not
- No amplifier in this bundle, unlike the Transparent Black listing of the same guitar
- No single-coil sounds; a three-way toggle across two humbuckers is the entire tonal range
- Standard fulcrum tremolo without locking hardware, so tuning drifts with use
- The quilted top is a thin veneer, not a carved cap

The verdict
Choose on colour and on what you already own. If you have an amplifier, this is the sensible listing and you are not paying for a duplicate. If you are starting from nothing, the Transparent Black bundle includes a Frontman 10G and works out considerably cheaper than buying a decent practice amp separately — that is the single most important difference between the two. The guitar itself is entry level and honest about it: the ceramic humbuckers are blunt, the tremolo drifts, and there are no single-coil sounds. The neck is genuinely good, which is what makes it worth learning on.
